9. Culzean Castle
This is a castle that originally belonged to the descendants of Robert the Bruce, which is to say, the Kennedy family. Designed by the famous Scottish architect Robert Adam, it was passed to the National Trust of Scotland in 1945 and the top floor was converted into a flat for use by General Eisenhower who visited on four occasions, which included the period while he served as President of the United States of America.
