13. Fyvie Castle
Dating back to the 13th century, the Fyvie Castle began its life as a royal stronghold in Aberdeenshire, near Turrif. The magnificent Scottish Baronial fortress had no less than five powerful families as its masters, and, not surprisingly, each of them added their own tower to improve on its splendor.
