8. Golden Gate Bridge
We bet you were worried we’d leave this one out, right? No way. While there are thousands of other bridges around the world that feature some mind-boggling engineering, only a handful can begin to think about rivaling the legendary showmanship of the Golden Gate.
Traditionally, crowds gather at Crissy Field on sunny days to witness the painting of the bridge by 25 acrobatic painters with the use of roughly 1000 gallons of paint every week. And if you happen to be in for a magic show of sort, head down to the Marin County end of the Golden Gate.
