2. Alamo Square
Best known for the iconic Painted Ladies row of Victorian houses on its east side along Steiner Street, the Alamo Square is a park and residential neighborhood. At the same time, this is also one of the more picturesque locations in town, which is why it is often featured in countless postcards and television shots of the city.
Predominantly frequented by dog owners, tourists and neighbors, the park includes a tennis court and playground. And most importantly – the Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, as well as the Transamerica Pyramid can all be seen from the park’s center on a clear day. Definitely one of the more laidback attractions in San Francisco.
