4. Lepenski Vir
If you happen to be an aspiring archeologist, this is the place for you. Boasting invaluable archeological relics, this site dates back between 9,000 and 6,000 BC.
A well-known site of interest in the central Balkans, it is dotted with preserved sculptures and buildings, some displaced, complete with river stones, shrines and ornaments with fish motifs, many of which reportedly represent ancient pagan gods.
Pre-historic men and women in the form of figurines dating back to 7,000 BC are also on display in what is definitely one of the most reputable tourist attractions in Serbia.
