5. Pfeiffer Beach
A huge chunk of the Big Sur attention rightfully goes to McWay Falls, as well as Bixby Bridge. However, there’s something to be said here of Pfeiffer Beach, as it’s viewed by many as equally, if not more interesting than the former.
Probably a lot to with the purple sand that makes it unique, Pfeiffer Beach is also among beautiful hidden gems in California for another reason: it’s home to some pretty amazing rock formations. These don’t only make for great backgrounds when it comes to taking photos, but are also hugely interesting in terms of exploration.
