4. Elephant Seal Preserve

More than 17,000 elephant seals regularly migrate to the Piedras Blancas rookery, which can be found some seven miles to the north of San Simeon. And the reason why this is an interesting spot is the fact that there’s a boardwalk viewing area intended for daily use by visitors.
