Day 3 in Venice
Visit the isles!
At least some of them… Take a vaporetto (a kind of water bus) and travel to three main islands: Murano, Burano and Torcello.
First, go to Murano, as it is the closest to Venice. Walk around the streets and find a studio that is performing glass-blowing demonstrations. Believe me, it is very entertaining and educational to observe how glass transforms into exceptional sculptures. As well, you can find here the Glass Museum, or Museo del Vetro, where you can find a multitude of glassworks, but also things that are related to glass history.

Burano Island is your next destination! As a rule, Burano is less crowded than Murano, but it is worth visiting for its colorful atmosphere, and you’ll understand why I am telling so while wandering on the island’s streets. Ladies should visit the Lace Museum, where they will find a complete overview of the laces of Venice and of other islands. If you just want to admire nature and spend some time in silence, direct to the shore, as it is told to be one of the most peaceful and beautiful in the area.

The last point of our trip is Torcello. But it has to be a must-see destination in your program, don’t dare to leave Venice until you visit it, as it is one of the most charming places from the city! Nowadays, it is almost not inhabited, but it was once the first inhabited part of the Venetian lagoon, being considered the birthplace of the present Venice. For nothing it the world miss Santa Fosca Church, Museo di Torcello, and the marvelous Santa Maria Assunta.
