Exploring The Top Attractions Of The Amalfi Coast

Ravello

Much like the aforementioned must-see town of Amalfi, there is another (a ton, actually, but you get the idea) special place you absolutely have to experience firsthand if you’re looking to travel to Amalfi Coast. The town we have in mind is called Ravello, and not only is it a sight for sore eyes – getting to it has its charms, as well. To the west of Amalfi is a town called Atrani; from it, a winding road known as the SS 373 claws its way through orange-groves, leading travelers on a journey that’s as breathtaking as the destination.

And when you do reach the magnificent town of Ravello, the first thing you’ll be blown away by is the fact that it sits on the brink of the ominously named Valle del Dragone, meaning Valley of Dragons. It overlooks the Mediterranean, thus instilling an unmistakable sense of power and greatness in whichever beholder is lucky enough to reach this unassuming location. The views and viewpoints throughout the town just keep getting better and better, and the lush gardens which used to surround the extravagant villas were converted to parks. A small town such as Ravello has a lot of churches, by the way – alas, it was once a much larger settlement than today. Simply put – it’s one of those places you’ll reeeeeeeally regret not seeing while contemplating on your deathbed.
