8. Cavtat
Cavtat is a small town in Croatia but don’t get fooled by its size because this place is smothered with tourist attractions. Notable people, like Vlaho Bukovac, Dinko Zlatarić, Baltazar Bogišić and others were born in this sunny and astonishing place.
One of the tourist attractions of the town is the mausoleum of the Račić family. This is the story of a ship captain, Ivo Račić who died in Zagreb in March 1918. Later, in September, died his children, Marija and Edi, of Spanish flue. A year later died his wife, Marija, and her last wish was that the whole family to be buried together. Now, people from all over the world come to this place and enjoy the beauty of this breathtaking mausoleum.
