More famous as a prison than as a royal residence where two kings, three queens. and many others met their death, Tower of London was a silent spectator of bloody and compelling royal history making it one of the most intriguing medieval castle in the world. Located on the north banks of Thames, Tower of London was founded in 1066. If ghosts thrill you then this amazing castle with 22 towers is supposed to be haunted by none other than Anne Boleyn’s apparition who was beheaded by her husband Henry VIII for treason.
