Day 3 in Madrid
Take a breath of fresh air right in the heart of the Spanish capital!
The park El Retiro is a real oasis of greenery and peace in the middle of this grand European capital. But it is not only nature, it is also a multitude of tourist attractions such as Palacio de Cristal, Palacio de Velazquez, or the lake on which you can take a ride by boat. The Rose Garden is an amazing place. They say there is planted a rose for each victim of the bombing that took place in 2005 on Atocha station.

Before directing to the park, you can take a walk to the Mercado de San Miguel – an authentic Spanish market that has become the place of gastronomic experiences. Here, you can find all sorts of meat and cheeses, fruit and vegetables, at low price. Buy a basket full of delicious things and sit down for a picnic in the El Retiro.

In the afternoon, admire Madrid from another perspective: from height. A tour by cable car is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of the metropolis. You can take the car cable from Casa de Campo to Templo de Debod, an ancient Egyptian temple which was dismantled and rebuilt in Madrid.
Finally, a trip to Madrid is not complete without flamenco. Visit Corral de la Moreria, Casa Patas, La Torre del Oro, or Vina Pe for a passionate dance and music show.
