The largest ice and snow festival in the world transforms the city to a wonderland with ice sculptures everywhere in different shapes and sizes, with some of them as gigantic as 20ft tall. The month-long festival had started in 1963 and after a break of a few years during the Cultural Revolution, started again to acquire its current fame.
