2. Shenandoah National Park, North Carolina/Virginia
Part of the Blue Ridge Mountain in the United States, Shenandoah National Park’s most amazing and popular part is the 109-mile long Skyline Drive along the ridge of the mountain covering the entire length of the Shenandoah National Park. Extremely picturesque with breathtaking vistas with streams, forests, and wilderness, the Skyline Drive is a picture-perfect drive. Be watchful of the black bears which may occasionally cross your path.

The Shenandoah National Park is entirely in the state of Virginia. However, the Blue Ridge Parkway starts in North Carolina and continues through Virginia to meet up with Skyline Drive at the entrance to Shenandoah Nat’l. Park and continues on to Front Royal, VA. The entire drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains is one of the most beautiful in the country.
