6. A Boat Ride along the Ganges
A boat ride along the Ganges is an experience without which your Varanasi trip will not be complete. At dawn, rowing boats will take you far from where you can see the first ray of light. You can witness the pilgrims taking a dip into the holy Ganges and prepare for Puja (prayer).
The most popular ride is between Dashashwamedh Ghat and Harishchandra Ghat. However, burning corpses are a common sight at Harishchandra Ghat. Evening boat rides are equally popular as you can watch the evening Aarti right from your boat. Don’t forget to bargain and fix a price for the boat ride before you get onto one.
