Rumored to have been used for secret meetings by Covenanters and ancient Druid rituals, Finnich Glen is actually a stunning, yet strange natural gorge. An otherworldly backdrop formed by bright green moss that grows on the walls is superseded only by the water flowing through the red sandstone, which is why it often resembles a river of blood. Totally bizarre, if you ask us, and yet, somehow completely mesmerizing. If that’s not one of the most convincing reasons why Scotland must be on your bucket list, then we don’t know what is.
