5. Ganja city
Considered one of the most beautiful cities in the country, Ganja, the second largest in Azerbaijan, 365 km far from Baku, attracts the tourists with its beautiful streets lined up with trees and unique architecture. The city is known for its metal handicrafts industry during the Middle Ages. The most notable works of that period include Gates of Ganja and Ancient Ganja Gate. Ganja is primarily famous for its Azerbaijani and Islamic architecture, the oldest surviving examples being the Nizami Mausoleum, Shah Abbas Caravanserai, while the traditional architecture is represented by the Chokak Bath.
