5. Aran Islands
A group of three limestone islands, Aran Islands or simply The Arans is the destination where you can experience a traditional Irish way of life. With barely 1200 inhabitants, the Arans’ topography is similar of that of the Burren. It also has some of the oldest archeological gems in Ireland including several ancient forts such as Fort of Conchobar (Dún Chonchúir) or Dún Aengus (Dún Aonghasa). An extremely popular tourist destination, The Arans is one of the places you must visit in Ireland.
