2. Lake Brienz, Switzerland
The most breathtaking, natural treasure of the magnificent Swiss Alps is Lake Brienz. With a length of 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) and width of 2.8 kilometers (1.7 miles), this 260-meter (1,850-foot) deep lake is fed by Aar- and Lütschine rivers. The turquoise-colored water, probably due to glacial deposits and negligible pollution, add to its charm. Passenger ships ply on this lake connecting Brienz and other lakeside towns.
