4. Marble Caves, Patagonia
The unusual yet stunning geological formations of the Marble Caves at the centre of the General Carrera Lake at Patagonia, have been created by wave action over the last 6,200 years. These natural arches are of pure marble and present a mesmerizing view against the azure water of the lake. These caverns can be accessed by boats which traverse though marble tunnels. The cave is also known for changing colors. The natural blue hue of early spring changes into an unusual deep blue color during summers when the level of the lake goes higher.
