2. Örebro, Sweden
Örebro is an attractive city, and a true holder of the title of hidden tourist gems in Scandinavia. It is well preserved, with old areas along Svartån, the quiet river, and with new exciting architecture, business streets, pubs and cafés. However, there’s also the ”Finrummet” at Storbron – with the grand, crown jewel Vasa Castle. Several of the most often practiced options for tourists include going shopping, having a meal at a sidewalk restaurant or just admiring the beautiful views.
Within walking distance from the town center, the beautiful seashore scenery of the Lake Hjälmaren welcomes curious visitors. Some 10 kilometers (6 miles) to the west, ”Blå Bergen” (or the Blue Mountains) rise with magnificent, picturesque views.
I don’t know if Torvehallerne is really “hidden” but it does rock! Cheers from Copenhagen!
