3. Fortezza di San Leo, Rimini
San Leo is an incredible stronghold originating in the Renaissance period. The world-known historian and writer Umberto Eco was one of the famous people who loved the town and the castle. Boasting a plethora of monuments and a myriad of palaces, this location is undoubtedly worth a visit.
Although it was also used as a prison in the past, the Fortezza is a must-see destination these days as it’s surrounded by lush vegetation and manages to combine all of the beautiful parts of architecture, nature, and art.
