2. Castle of Sirmione, Lake Garda
In some respects, the Castle of Sirmione is isolated, although not by forests, but by water. In actuality, it stands on the Lake Garda, a reason for which the access to the building is restricted to a drawbridge.
All of the other parts of the castle are surrounded by water, which makes the view even more spectacular. A sample of lacustrine architecture can also be seen in the area, in that the lake is partially enclosed by the walls of the castle.
