Old Town Lunenburg

A port town situated in the south shore of Nova Scotia, the town was founded by three fathers namely Dettlieb Christopher Jessen, Patrick Sutherland, and John Creighton four years after Halifax during Father Le Loutre’s War.

Designated as a World heritage site by UNESCO in 1995, Lunenburg’s town plan and unique architecture have been protected as one of the finest examples of planned British colonial settlement in Canada. Also, a National Historic Site of Canada, this historic soul of Nova Scotia is worth a visit.
