The Landscape of Grand Pré

An UNESCO world heritage site and also a National Historic Site of Canada, Grand Pré in Nova Scotia is a park to commemorate the famous Acadian settlement from 1682 to 1755. Located on the shore of Minas Basin, Grand-Pré is actually a tidal marshland which was first settled by Pierre Melanson dit La Verdure in 1680. This area of Grand Pre is also famous for vineyards surrounding it.

There are restaurants, and wine tasting tours offering a cultural insight to experience an insight about the place.  Don’t miss it if you are in Nova Scotia.
