Peggys Cove Lighthouse
Adding a Scottish element to this gorgeous Canadian province, there are around 160 lighthouses in Nova Scotia but the most famous is Peggy’s Point Lighthouse located in a small fishing village of Peggy’s Cove. Built in 1915, this historic lighthouse is the most iconic of them all.
The village spread in the area of 43 kilometers is named after Saint Margaret’s Bay which was named by the French navigator Samuel de Champlain after his mother Marguerite. A must visit place in Nova Scotia, Peggy’s cove is the most popular tourist attraction in Canada’s New Scotland.
