Visit Nova Scotia – A Slice of Scotland in Canada

Cape Breton Island

In the first half of the 19th century, about 50000 Scottish immigrants arrived at Cape Breton Island which was a separate colony until it was merged into Nova Scotia in 1820 against its will. These immigrants brought their language and culture influence of which can be seen till date.

Cape Briton is the only Gaelic speaking place in North America. As Scottish as it can get with highlands and Celtic culture, Cape Briton will most certainly make you forget Scotland.
