8. Ben Nevis
Extremely popular among tourists and one of the must-visit destinations in Scotland—Ben Nevis—stands 4,409 feet above sea level and is the highest mountain in the British Isles. Ben Nevis which has the collapsed dome of a volcano as the summit, witnesses around 100000 ascents every year. There are also the ruins of an observatory at the summit of Ben Nevis.
