9. The Rhine Valley
The Rhine Valley is a breathtaking geological formation, through which the Rhine River flows. The region is comprised of a beautiful natural landscape that is dotted with several medieval castles, terraced vineyards, and quaint villages.
The highlight of the Rhine Valley is the Upper Middle Rhine, where the river meanders through more than 40 castles and dozens of medieval towns and villages. There is also the Bingen section, where the river cuts through the breathtaking Rhine Gorge.
