1. Guadalupe Mountains, Texas
Yeah, not the first association to the words “Texas National Park,” right? Don’t worry, it happens. The thing is, Big Bend National Park tends to be people’s first thought upon hearing the said words. But, on the other hand, there’s a particular reason why the Guadalupe Mountains National Park is equally interesting: it’s home to the tallest mountain in Texas, called Guadalupe Peak (8,749 feet).
But, it doesn’t end there. We consider this to be one of the most amazing national parks in America for another reason: it’s also home to seven other tallest peaks in Texas! And guess what the most dramatic one is called? El Capitan! Yup, exactly like the one we mentioned in California’s Yosemite Valley! But, we’ll let you decide on who the winner is.
