4. Escadaria Selaron
It will not be an exaggeration to term Escadaria Selaron as the second most popular landmark and identity of the city after Christ the redeemer. Also known as the ‘Selaron Steps’, these are the set of steps displaying fabulous work of Chilean-born artist Jorge Selarón. The artist describes the steps as his tribute to the Brazilian people and these famous steps are covered with ceramics, tiles, and mirrors.
