4. Cambridge
Of course, one would be insane to compile a list of the most interesting places to visit in Great Britain only to leave out a staple of British education and tourism: Cambridge University. Situated just north of London, in the namesake town on the river Cam, the university has produced quite a college town setting, including all the entertainment and cultural amenities. One of the most visited sights in the city is the famed King’s College Chapel, which is regarded as a particularly impressive example of perpendicular Gothic architecture. Definitely worth a visit by any criteria.
