1. The Highlands of Scotland
You’d think we’d put London at number 1, right? Wrong. While the capital has incredible charms, it’s raw nature that, we feel, deserves to be put forward on this occasion. And it doesn’t get more raw in terms must visit places in Great Britain than the legendary highlands of Scotland.
Encompassing the rugged north-northwestern region of Scotland, this is a land of lochs, kilts, bagpipes and tough men. An almost-mythical terrain, this region boasts countless mountain ranges and is very sparsely populated. Loch Ness can be found here (yes, THE Loch Ness), as well as an incredibly picturesque castle by the name of Eilean Donan Castle. When visiting, make sure you bring plenty of SD cards for your phone/camera. You’re going to need them, trust us.
