5. Lake Chad, Chad/Nigeria
Lake Chad is located mainly in the far west of Chad, bordering northeastern Nigeria. The Chari River, fed by its tributary Logone, provides over 90% of Lake Chad’s water, with a small amount coming from the Yobe River in Nigeria. If you’re into fishing, this is the ultimate destination, as it is widely known for being largest among Africa’s producers of inland freshwater fish. As far as the most magnificent lakes in Africa are concerned, Lake Chad is right up there with the most impressive ones, if you ask us.
