7. The Dutch City of Doesburg
A fortified city located in the eastern Netherlands on the right bank of river Ijssel, Doesburg is yet another charming small towns in Holland with loads of history and medieval architecture to allure tourists. The inner city has monuments that reflect the bygone era and the most popular of them all are the Doesburgse mustard factory, Main Court and arguably the oldest public place in Netherlands ‘De Waag’.
Once a prosperous town which transformed into a sleepy provincial town after the 15th century has a beauty of its own. A designated historic city offers a walk down the past through its narrow streets and traditional edifices.
