8. Delft Town
Narrow canal lined alleys and intriguing architecture of the pretty medieval town of Delft not only attracts day-trippers but tourists from all over the world. Located on the west of the Netherlands Deft is also famous for the characteristic blue-and-white ceramics pottery which was originally duplicated from Chinese porcelain by the local artisans in the 17th-century.
More than 750 years old the atmospheric town offers an intimate view of the cultural heritage of old Holland. Evenings in Delft are particularly gorgeous when the canals are lamp-lit for a romantic stroll while bars and restaurants are jam-packed with locals.
