2. Luz Station, Brazil
Located at Sao Paulo in Brazil, Luz station is a remarkable 19th-century structure built in a Late-Victorian style. The construction of Luz station was completed in 1901 and the building materials were shipped in from Britain. A prominent landmark of Sao Paulo, the station signifies the bygone era when coffee was the main source of income for the city and the coffee supply arriving from Santos were delivered at this station. The station caught fire in the 1940s and suffered major losses, however, it was repaired and the glory was restored. In 2015, the station caught fire again and one life was lost. Housing a museum of the Portuguese Language within its premise, Luz station holds a coveted place among the most amazing train stations around the world.
