1. Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, Malaysia
An exotic amalgamation of Eastern and Western architectural styles Kuala Lumpur Railway Station appears more like an opulent palace than a railway station. The Moorish-style structure was designed by A.B. Hubbock in 1910. For long, it served as Kuala Lumpur’s main railway station until 2001 when Kuala Lumpur Sentral took over. The construction of this beautiful railway station was delayed as the rooftop design wasn’t meeting British specifications to be able to support a meter-deep snow. It seems that no one informed the British that KL’s weather remains hot and humid round the year.
