In the very heart of Dublin stands Dublin Castle. The British ruled from it until 1922, but it has since become one of Dublin’s main attractions. Tourists are free to traverse the grounds, but must take a guided tour if they want to see the State Apartments. It now houses two cafés, two gardens, two museums and also holds an international conference centre. It’s worth mentioning that people taking tours of Dublin Castle might as well visit the Guinness Storehouse or Temple Bar, two other must-sees when touring the city of Dublin itself.
