7. Bárcena Mayor:
Barcena Mayor, the only residential village within Saja Reservation within the valleys of the Saja and Nansa Rivers is a declared historic-artistic site. Famed for its rustic architecture and rural cuisine, Barcena Mayor is now one of the most visited little towns in the Cantabrian community of Spain.
The major tourist attractions in Barcena Mayor include a Roman Road which was built in ancient times and is still in use for about two millennia. The rural medieval stone mountain houses and buildings with timber windows and balconies add to the medieval charm of the town. This picturesque settlement is most certainly one of the most stunning little towns you must visit in Spain.
A great list but I would also include some places in Extremadura!
