10 Little Towns You Must Visit in Spain

6. Almagro:

A tourist site listed as Spain’s national heritage and conservation area (Conjunto histórico), Amlagro sits pretty within small Paleozoic (earliest of the three geological eras) mountain ranges which comes under a volcanic zone. Although the first human settlement in the area is not certain, it is believed to be in the Bronze Age.

Today apart from monuments, Almagro is also famous as a venue for the International Festival of Classical Theater which is celebrated here annually since 1978.
