9. Hazrat Sultan Mosque, Astana, Kazakhstan
Located on the right bank of the Yesil in the capital city Astana, Hazrat Sultan mosque is not just Kazakhstan’s largest dome but is also regarded as the largest mosque in central Asia. Opened in 2012, the mosque is built in the classic Islamic style adorned with traditional Kazakh ornaments and resembles an oriental palace. With the capacity of accommodating 5-10 thousand people, this imposing mosque with exquisite marbled interiors is certainly one of the most opulent and incredibly beautiful places of worship in the world.
