10. The Tanzhe Temple. China
About 1700-years-old the Tanzhe temple is one of the most famous Buddhist temples located in Beijing. The imposing temple building includes 24 meters long and 33 meters wide Mahavira Hall. However, it was Princess Miaoyan, the daughter of Kublai Khan who entered nunnery here in the 13th century made the temple famous around the world.
