8. Port Angeles
Found just across the Strait of Juan de Fuca, along the northern shores of the Olympic Peninsula, the town of Port Angeles is nestled in a region known for its incomparable natural beauty and an abundance of outdoor recreational activities. Some of them include birding, fishing, kayaking, boating, golfing, biking, and hiking, not to mention the fact that it’s an access point to the famed Olympic National Park. A particularly interesting and noteworthy attraction in town is the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, which boasts a semi-circular hilltop gallery filled with changing Northwest exhibits.
