1. Olympic National Park
We tried as hard as we could, but there was no way to not feature this incredible feat of nature as number 1 on the list. The out-of-this-world national park that covers the majority of the Olympic Peninsula simply overflows with incomparable scenery that ranges from mountaintops to ocean beaches and everything in between. Roads only circle the park with a scenic drive on US 101, which is to say that they don’t cut through the park’s mountainous heart, not once. By far one of the most incredible and best places to visit in Washington, some of its glorious attractions include wildflowers and waterfalls near Hurricane Ridge, the Sol Duc Hot Springs, oversized trees in the Hoh Rain Forest and dozens of pristine beaches. A genuine heaven on earth – there’s no other way to put it.
