7. Kanchanaburi Town
Located in the western region of Thailand, just at the edge of a mountainous landscape, Kanchanaburi is an amazing destination, one that you should not fail to visit during your vacation. The city holds a deep history, and it is known all over the world for the infamous Death Railway construction during the World War II, where thousands of slave laborers and allied prisoners of war died after being forced to build a bridge known as The Bridge over the River Kwai. Today, the bridge is a popular scenic site, which serves as a reminder of the darker times of the war.
