8. Ancient City of Ayutthaya
Ayutthaya is a historic city that offers you a glimpse into the glory of the ancient Thailand kingdom, also known as Siam. The city was the capital of Siam for over four centuries until the Burmese forces destroyed it when they invaded the kingdom and burned it to the ground.
The structures that survived the attack (temples and palaces) were buried under the ground over the years, but they have since been unearthed and their ruins turned into a beautiful archeological park.
