9. Chiang Rai
Chiang Rai is another one of the most amazing places to visit in Thailand but is not as popular as other destinations due to its location. Located about 535 miles north of Bangkok, Chiang Rai is at the very northern tip of Thailand, which is why some tourist might leave it out of their itinerary. However, despite its location, it is a beautiful city that is home to several ancient temples, including the famous Wat Rong Khun temple that is commonly referred to as the “White Temple”.
Chiang Rai is also a perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas. One of the best attractions you can explore from this city is the Golden Triangle Park, which is about 45 minutes away from the city. Other attractions in the area that you can check out include the Kun Korn a beautiful local waterfall, where you can have a relaxing time.
