10 Best Places To Visit In South America

5. Angel Falls, Venezuela

Another waterfall on the list, guys – we’re sorry, but you just can’t afford to come all the way to South America and not face off with the highest waterfall in the world. You just can’t and we just made that decision for you (you’ll thank us later). It’s 19 times higher than Niagara Falls and is tucked away at Canaima National Park. It cascades down over a total height of 980 meters (3,212 feet), standing at 52 meters (980 feet) at its highest point.

Want to talk about amazing places to visit in South America? This one definitely deserves to be included. By the way – because it requires a boat ride, flight over the top or a jungle trek through grasslands, mountains and rivers in order to reach it – you might’ve guessed it’s not a very popular attraction with tourists. Plus, there’s the small fact that it’s a 1000 miles from Caracas and 160 miles from Ciudad Bolivar. All we can say is – it’s worth the trouble!

Perfect list, I would love to follow every inch of it. I´m a wanderer myself and I could put quite a few check marks to some from these list and still willing to see more and more. So happy travelling to all of us!
