7. Iguazu Falls, Argentina-Brazil-Paraguay
Simply put – we’re talking here about one of the biggest waterfall systems on the planet. There’s really no other way to describe it, and that fact alone makes it worthy of being on the list of best places to visit in South America. No less than 275 individual waterfalls comprise this system, so gargantuous that it actually straddles the border between not two, but three countries.
And if you’re wondering what the biggest drop is, get ready: it’s a whopping 80 meters (262 feet). So, if you’re going to go for a fall – the least you could do is make sure you do it in style, right?
